Organic Dunlop

In the shadows of the Western Ghats lies one of history's most important agricultural hubs, the famous spice garden of Kerala. Intermingling among fields of cardamon, pepper, and turmeric are forests of Hevea brasiliensis, otherwise known as the rubber tree. Farming in the Kottayam district of Kerala is a family tradition carried out on plots of land passed down through generations. This innate connection to the land and rich biodiversity results in a rubber unmatched in its provenance and elasticity. Harnessing the remarkable power of natural elasticity is the bedrock upon which the best latex mattress makers form their craft.

Foundational Support

Our 6" organic latex mattress offers firm, reliable support using a single solid core of GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex. With no soft comfort layers on top, this minimalist design delivers the densest and most durable feel in our lineup. Ideal for growing kids, stomach sleepers, or anyone seeking a firmer, more grounded sleep surface. Whether used on its own or as a firm base layer in a layered mattress setup, this foundation-level mattress provides long-lasting support using only the purest natural and organic materials.

Tencel Cover

Tencel covers add a layer of soft, breathable comfort to your firm 6" organic latex mattress. Made from a silky eucalyptus based cellulose-rayon and polyester blend, this knit fabric is naturally moisture-wicking, temperature-regulating, and gentle on sensitive skin. Perfect for kids or hot sleepers. Its stretch-knit construction allows the firm latex core beneath to contour just enough while maintaining a supportive feel. Durable and easy to care for, the Tencel cover complements the minimalist design of the mattress.

FAQ

A vegan mattress is made without any animal-derived materials such as wool or silk. At Nature’s Embrace, our vegan mattresses use Bamboo or Tencel fabrics instead of Cotton, as Cotton must be combined with a fire retardant, and wool is the only natural fire barrier. These mattresses offer the same comfort, support, and breathability as our standard models while aligning with vegan lifestyle values. They are perfect for anyone seeking an animal-free mattress without compromising on quality, safety or sustainability.

Your sleeping position plays a key role in choosing the right latex mattress. Side sleepers often prefer Soft to Medium-Firm mattresses for pressure relief at the shoulders and hips. Back sleepers benefit from medium to firm support that promotes spinal alignment. Stomach sleepers need firmer surfaces to prevent lower back sagging. Combination sleepers should consider customizable or zoned latex mattresses for balanced support across all positions.

Yes, latex has a natural aroma. This scent is non-toxic and usually dissipates within a few days to a few weeks, depending on ventilation and a person's sensitivity to smell. In rare cases, those with very strong sensitivities may always notice a slight odour. However, it’s very different from the strong chemical off-gassing you may experience with synthetic foams. Many people even find the natural latex smell neutral or even pleasant. If you’re sensitive to scents, we can air the components in our factory upon request. This process takes 2-3 weeks.

Latex mattresses perform best on a rigid, breathable surface. We recommend slatted platform beds with slats 1-2.5" apart (no more than 3") or a solid base with ventilation. As a general rule, there should be more support than air, and you should avoid box springs and bowed / flexible slats, which can cause uneven support. Coir Bunkie Boards can bring nearly any bed frame up to the warranty and performance standard.

No, the cotton and wool mattress cover is not machine washable. Our quilted covers are made from pure organic cotton and untreated, natural wool, which can shrink or become misshapen if exposed to water or agitation. We recommend spot cleaning only. Gently dab the affected area and allow it to air dry completely. Do not soak, machine wash, or tumble dry. Some people may choose to use mattress protectors or mattress pads for easier cleaning. However, that have a plasticized backing that reduces air flow and firms up the mattress.

The best mattresses for kids are firm, breathable, and made with natural materials. In the absence of parental preferences, our Standard mattresses are the ideal choice for growing bodies as they are on the firmer side but still provide comfort.

Standard Organic Latex Mattress or Standard Vegan Mattress

No, the Standard Latex Mattress is made from a single, solid 6" of GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex. However, it’s still available in your choice of Firm or Extra-Firm and can be combined with any topper to suit different sleep preferences. It’s a great option for those seeking a simple, durable, and chemical-free latex mattress without the need for premium features. If you want layer customization, consider one of our modular latex mattress models instead.

I love this maytress so much!!!! thank you for wonderful beautiful sleeps!

I put a latex topper over my old too firm mattress but it was very tall and you could feel the old shape. This 6" firm is much better and lower. It is softer than my old traditional mediummattress as is, many people could sleep just on that. I now have a 3" Dunlop soft and 3" talalay soft toppers, talalay pillows and float to sleep! 6'2" bony side sleeper for reference

Excellent Matress

I purchase the standard organic latex mattress 6 inch with cover fence and polyester OMG game changer. What an excellent quality product, no smell, I order extra firm to support my spine which is amazing so now I can have finally good night sleep and wake up refresh for the day. Thank you very much Nature Embrace to produce this quality organic bed which help to support spine and release of my allergies so I can get a beautiful sleep. I am so grateful that I found you on Google . The delivery was excellent , in a sliding thick box with inside tube for protection and the mattress in plastic seal. I am from Ontario the delivery was about a week worth while waiting . Kind regards.

Initially, we purchased just the mattress and found it too firm. I ordered the 3" topper and now it is much more comfortable

Good!

Comfy 6" mattress. Originally intended it for our 3 year old but the 6 year old tried it and claimed it! :)
No smells. No complaints. Tyson was super friendly and great to communicate with.

Surprisingly comfy and soft feeling (but supportive) , considering its “firm” latex.

Super glad we went to their showroom to try. I spent way too much reading details on the website and comparing different products.. but when we got to the showroom it was an easy and quick decision.

Could've gone better

The firmest option is still very comfortable, just the right back support we were looking for. Does have a slight latex smell but doesn't bother us. It would have been a good experience if not for the errors with shipping and delivery followed up by unreliable communication.

Firm but cozy

Have had our organic latex mattress with organic cotton and wool cover for around a month now. I love it. Nice and firm but the cover makes it so soft and cozy!!
Came very quickly as well and was very well wrapped.

Firm as I imagined

I am very happy with my purchase! This is exactly what I needed, a mattress that is no toxic, firm and will stay firm without breaking down over time like memory foam ect. I was looking for the cheapest option for a natural mattress. It a 6 inch firm base for all their mattresses, but now that I am sleeping on it I am ordering a medium or soft topper to give it a bit of softness. Also something to remember, latex is heavy and awkward to move.

Another reason, we wanted a 6 inch matress is we wanted something that took up the least space in our 40' converted school bus.

Very pleased, thank you!

Best Mattress

Finally sleeping well after years of restless nights.

Bought a firm twin sized mattress for our three year old who is transitioning out of a crib and into a 'big boy bed'. This seemed to be the perfect fit and something that will hopefully stand up to years of sleeping for him. Even for me (dad) to sleep on the mattress with him is very comfortable and supportive. Very good chance we will be back for another when our newborn is ready for a big bed too. One thing to note, the foam has very little rigidity when moving it around, unlike a more traditional mattress. Moving it is easiest with two people, otherwise it will flop around like a wet noodle. It is also heavy for its size. This in theory should be an indication of the materials used and the longevity of the product, but handling can be a bit tricky! Great sleeps have been had. Our little guy loves it. Thanks!!!

Great latex core mattress

Fantastic value for an organic latex mattress. Added a topper and it is very comfortable and supportive. It was also packed and shipped very securely. The king weighed in at 100lbs and although best to have help getting it unpacked, I managed alone due to the way it is rolled and sealed for shipping. Very happy so far!

Firm and comfortable

I am very happy with twin XL mattress. Its basically for a large single bed. I placed it on a wooden frame. The mattress is firm; offers back support but comfortable at the same time. My cat also likes this mattress.(he never slept on my bed before.)

Love my new mattress so much

Very happy with this mattress and finally have no more back pain during sleep. It gives the perfect firm support so no part of you sinks in too far, while still being very comfortable for both back and side sleeping. So glad I have it!

Perfect for Kids

I bought this mattress for my daughter. She absolutely loves it and has been sleeping through the night since getting it (yay!). I think it's too thin for an adult, but for anyone under 100 lbs, it's great. Thanks again for the excellent service and product!

A quality mattress

I have replaced my 15 year old Naturelle Organic mattress and topper. The sale and free shipping really helped. The quality seems very good and the cover is nicer than the one that came with my previous. I also bought the 2" topper to go with. I've had it for almost a month and it has proven to be very comfortable. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this company to others.
