Most items are handmade to order in our Delta, BC, Canada (Metro Vancouver) factory and ship 3-10 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding Holidays) from the time of order. Standard shipping via a common carrier of our choice is FREE to all Canadian provinces. Extra charges may apply for the Canadian Territories.
All items shipped via our Standard Shipping method are delivered curbside. If you live in a very rural area or on a remote island, we may only be able to ship to a depot in the nearest town. Curbside shipping means the freight company will only drop off the item. They will not enter your home or any common areas, such as the lobby or hallway of a multi-unit dwelling.
All Unison, Hevean and DIY mattresses are shipped compressed and partially assembled. The bottom 6” comes pre-assembled in a top-zippered cover. Each additional layer is in a separate box and zipped into the mattress at home.
Place the unboxed, compressed mattress on your bed frame.
Carefully cut off the plastic and fabric strapping.
Lay the uncompessed mattress flat on your beframe.
Open the zipper and roll the cover back to expose the interior layers.
Make sure the base layers that came inside the cover are sittting reasonably square in all four corners
Place the additional layers on the mattress according to your chosen firmness. It's easier to handle the layers when folded or rolled.
Stack each layer on the mattress. It's normal for the top layer to be above the bottom bucket of the cover. Our layering guide can be found here if you aren't sure what order the layers go in.
Double-check to ensure each layer is as square as possible in or adjacent to the corner of the cover.
Zip up the cover and enjoy your new mattress.
With our White Glove service, the delivery people will place the fully assembled mattress into a room of your choice as long it’s accessible and within reason. Unfortunately, they can not move items (large or small) to gain access to a room of your choice.
There is no charge for our White Glove service for all Unison, Hevean and DIY mattresses delivered to most addresses in the Metro Vancouver region. Our local White Glove service runs every week, Monday to Friday. They will phone withing two weeks of placing your order to arrange a delivery day and expected time window.
Please get in touch with us to inquire about the availability and cost of White Glove service in your area. However, the threshold service detailed below is the best we can do in many cases.
Threshold service sits between the simple drop-off of curbside shipping and the deluxe White Glove delivery service. The exact definition of this service can vary between freight companies. In general, threshold delivery means they will drop the mattress in the first accessible covered area. The threshold point can be a garage, apartment lobby or just inside the front door of your home. We would ship the mattresses complete in many cases using this service. However, they may also come partially assembled, similar to when we ship via our standard curbside service. Extra charges apply.
You can pick up all orders from our Delta factory during regular business hours. We can have it ready in pieces, partially assembled or fully assembled, per request. No contact pickup is also available for smaller items.
Shipping is free for all items shipped to the contiguous United States. Extra charges apply to Hawaii and Alaska. In some cases, United States Customs requires a tax identification number to clear cross-border shipments.
At this time we don't allow online orders for mattresses. Canada has different mattress flammability regulations than the United States, and we can only ship mattresses when accompanied by a note from your doctor excusing the use of fire retardants. All mattresses will still meet Canada’s Mattress Flammability Standards unless requested otherwise. Please contact us by email or phone for more information or to place an order.
Orders for all other items can be placed online as per normal.
All items are handmade to order in our local factory. We strive to ship all items in 5 business days or sooner. However, lead times can be up to 10 business days. Shipping times to most places in Canada are about a week or less, but it can be longer depending on your location and factors out of our control. On average, you should receive your order 1-3 weeks from the time of order. Please contact us if you’re in a rush or need more precise shipping times.
