How does a latex mattress differ from an organic mattress?
At Nature’s Embrace, the difference is simply in the cover. We use the same pure organic Dunlop latex in all our mattresses. Using a Tencel cover allows us to deliver better value without sacrificing the quality of the latex. Tencel is a sustainable, cellulose fabric that is resistant to fire, breathable and soft to the touch.
When making such a major decision it’s important to know how a latex mattress is defined. Some manufactures will call any mattress that contains even a small amount of latex rubber a latex mattress. In fact, most latex mattresses are made from synthetic latex. Our latex does not contain any synthetic latex or performance robbing filler.
Since the definition of what constitutes a latex mattress (and quality of the latex used) can vary between manufactures, it’s important to compare apples to apples when shopping for a latex mattress.
