The most common way of constructing a latex mattress is by combining a 6" solid latex core with a topper. Our Classic is just that. Unlike our modular designs, you cannot alter this efficient, budget-friendly design as we bond the layers with a Simalfa Greenguard Gold water-based adhesive. However, the core and topper mattress remains the preferred option for those looking for a more traditionally firm mattress.
The six-plus-two is a firm - but not stiff - mattress best suited for back or stomach sleepers.
Even though the Classic mattress is on the firmer end of our comfort spectrum, latex mattresses don't have the hard surface feel you find with other beds. Instead, the elasticity of organic Dunlop latex is soft to the touch while offering more support than hard mattresses due to its natural resiliency. This balance of comfort and support is unique to pure latex mattresses and is impossible to replicate.
